019 Good times in Sillamäe

I had a very nice time in Sillamäe right before going home after summerdays this year. The architecture was absolutely fantastic and in addition to that I found a new dear friend walking on the street! He was immediately my friend.

After having played with him for a while an after I let him sucking my earlobe for few  minutes, I had a phone call and sat down for a while, right on the curbstone, to finish my phone call.

But I continued taking pictures with one hand.

While still talking, I took a video as well.

Here he sucked my earlobe again!

Now seeing this reminded me that this is one of the cutest moments that I encounter from time to time: a cat washing himself, especially face with the help of paws! I could catch that in a video, mainly for my own memories but why not to put it also here.

Another random cat walking somewhere over there. I wasn't quick enough and missed a very good shot but I caught him at least like that.

018 Two friends in Narva-Jõesuu

During my stay there in our company's summerdays in 2012. I also saw two little friends!

This one was a suspicious and a little bit frightened. The place was located right at the edge of Narva river where there was a small summer pub or cafeteria where we had a quick lunch. Russia was right over the river, nice and green.

It was evident that he wanted to have some of that meat/sausages/etc that we ate. So I gave him two little pieces.

This one was just a random cat hiding under the car.

016 A cat in Tartu

I happened to visit a cat in April this year. Oh he was lovely... Well, there was a nice man and a sweet little girl as well but let's focus on the cat this time.

015 My friends in Vilnius in May 2011

To my big surprise also Vilnius, Lithuania, had many many cats on streets. But not as much as in Latvia.

My Couchsurfing host in Vilnius had a cat! A host (or a guest) with a cat: the best combination! We became friends immediately. It takes longer with people but it can be almost immediate with cats. And my host's flatmate, a young woman, didn't get along with this cat very well. Probably they were too different. She was even afraid of him at times. But when I met this cat, I understood quickly what to do and what not to do with him. It was a funny quick course for me.

Can you distinguish?

There is a story behind this picture. It was my last full day in Vilnius and as usually, I went out to walk around all day long and take pictures of commieblocks (see www.magistraal.ee). But in that day I could walk around about an hour or two when my back pain got stronger so that I just couldn't walk anymore. I walked very slowly anyway but that didn't help. I had to go back to my hosts flat. Since he was leaving for work, I had to be there without my host and spend my own time. So I spent next four hours by sitting in an armchair, cat sleeping on my lap. During that time I was praying over two hours, then continued my math research (visible on the right). The cat had many deep sleep phases: he was "vibrating" in different areas of his body like face, paws. I enjoyed all this so much that I will never forget it.

But all good things end at last and I had to eat something and I stood up. My sleepy friend woke up as well.

And at the end, a surrealistic video with my dear friend in bathroom. The light was out of order which gave a brilliant chance to make a video of a black cat in the dark.
